I was impressed with the workers. They were respectful of my property. As for the cutting they did exactly what I wanted. The pricing was reasonable.
A Sharper Image Tree Services is the tree service company Tyler Dotson runs from Tampa and Homosassa. It is a family business, and its people have more than 35 years of experience in tree and land work. The company started with tree work. As the equipment grew, it added land clearing, site preparation and demolition.
Homeowners call us when the oak is leaning over the roof or half the tree came down in the storm. We take down big trees over houses and pools with our crane and our tracked lift. As a tree service in Tampa, we also trim oaks and palms and grind old stumps below the ground.
Landowners and builders call us with a lot to clear for a new house. We handle land clearing on lots and acreage, then the site preparation before the build. An old shed or fence in the way comes down too, and we haul the debris off. Property managers and HOAs use us for scheduled trimming and storm cleanup on the whole property.
We have two shops, one in South Tampa and one in Homosassa. From them we work the whole corridor north to Crystal River, across Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties. Call or text (813) 293-2948 for a free estimate, and send photos if you like. We look at the tree or the lot and put the estimate in writing.
Tampa and Homosassa, FL One palm or one stump in the back yard is a job we take. So is acreage that has to be cleared for a new build.
We take the trees down and grind the stumps, and we can clear the lot around them. One call covers the whole job.
After a storm, we document the damage before we cut. We have worked with homeowners insurance companies on storm jobs.
Big trees over houses and pools can come down in sections with our crane. Our tracked lift reaches into the canopy to trim big oaks beside a two-story house.
Fenced back yards get our compact loaders. They carry the logs and brush out through the gate to the chipper and our trucks.
Cleanup is part of every job, big or small. We haul the wood and brush away and rake the yard before we pack up.
We work from shops in South Tampa and Homosassa. Between them, we cover the whole corridor from Tampa north to Crystal River.
From the first call or text to the finished work, here is how it goes.
Call or text (813) 293-2948 and tell us what needs doing and where. Send photos if you like.
We come out and look at the tree or the lot in person. We check the access for our machines and what sits under the branches.
You get a free estimate in writing, with the work spelled out. Once you say yes, we set a date.
The crew does the job as written, whether that is a takedown, a trim or a clearing. Big trees near the house come down in sections, on ropes or with the crane.
The brush goes through the chipper and the wood goes on our trucks. Then we rake up and take a final look at the work with you.

A Sharper Image Tree Service did an excellent job for us. They trimmed and pruned a variety of trees including large live oaks, fishtail palms, areca palms, robellini palms, and crepe myrtles all with great success and many of which were not easy to get to on our property. Tyler and his crew arrived on time, were professional, and very careful not to damage the lawn or any of our property with their equipment.
